Brent's Testimony: "I was 7-years-old. My Awana commander at the Elmwood Park Bible Church shared the gospel one night, and it just reached out and grabbed my heart. It all made sense. I was, and still am, a sinner, and I needed, and still need, Jesus Christ in my life. I accepted God's offer of forgiveness by putting my faith in Jesus."

Brent did his undergraduate work at Illinois State and graduated in 1993. He graduated from Trinity in 2001 with a Master of Divinity and is currently pursuing his doctorate at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL.

Q&A with Pastor Brent

Do you have a family?
By God's grace, I have a great family! I've been married to Lisa for 20 years. Lisa and I love hangin' with each other, coaching our kids' sports teams, spending time with friends, and just having fun.

Our kids' names are Mariah (16), Nathan (14), Seth (12), and Ainsley (9). They are amazing children. Lisa and I can't believe we get to influence them everyday!

What gets you excited about the new church?
Everything. The people. God's power. The possibilities.  Changed lives. Real worship. Restored relationships. The laughter of children. Influencing others for eternity. Meeting new people. Growing old with people.

When did you begin to follow Jesus Christ?
I was 7-years-old. My Awana commander at the Elmwood Park Bible Church shared the gospel one night, and it just reached out and grabbed my heart. It all made sense. I was (and still am) a sinner, and I needed (and still need) Jesus Christ in my life. I accepted God's offer of forgiveness by putting my faith in Jesus."
