Welcome to Harvest Kids
We consider the opportunity to minister to your children a privilege and pray that they will see Jesus in every area of the ministry! We also want to challenge them to grow in their relationship and walk with Him.
Sunday morning check-in begins at 9:45 AM. We ask that a parent or guardian check their child in through the computerized system. If you are new, you can come to the Harvest Kids Welcome Desk and sign in. After the service, a parent or guardian must pick up their child from their room.
The ministry is divided into the following groups:
· Nursing (birth to walking)
· Toddlers (walking to 2 Years)
· 2’s & 3’s
· 4’s & 5’s
· 1st Grade
· 2nd Grade
· 3rd Grade
· 4th & 5th Grades
Kindergarten – Grade 3 meet together as a large group and split into small groups after worship and the Bible Lesson.
So, what does the Four Pillars of Harvest look like in Harvest Kids?
Proclaiming the authority of God’s Word without apology
"Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching." 2 Timothy 4:2
Bible Teaching – Whether it be in the 2-3 year old room or with the 4th & 5th grade, all teaching and curriculum is taken directly from Scripture. Children will hear from God’s Word and learn ways to apply the Truth to their lives on a daily basis.
Lifting high the name of Jesus through worship
"God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth." John 4:24
From 4 year olds through Grade 5, our children are learning about Jesus through worship. Worship Team Members come into the K-Grade 3 large group, (the 4 & 5 year olds join us for this portion). Through leading the kids in worship, the team also teaches what true worship is. Grades 4 & 5 join with the adults in the sanctuary for a time of corporate worship before going into their time of Bible teaching.
Believing firmly in the power of prayer
"Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints." Ephesians 6:18
Prayer covers the ministry every day of the week! On Sunday mornings, the team prays prior to meeting the kids and families. Prayer happens in the midst of each age group over the course of the morning. Kindergarten through Grade 3, keep Prayer Journals and not only record prayer requests but also review past requests and rejoice when a prayer has been answered.
We desire to help children see the power of prayer and the joy of “talking with Jesus” anytime, anyplace about anything on their hearts.
Sharing the good news of Jesus with boldness
"And also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak." Ephesians 6:19-20
As children get older, we are intentional about them being part of a small group. This creates a safe place for kids to share what’s going on in their lives. The relationships built in a small group are encouraging and holds them accountable to “be Jesus” to those they encounter during the week.
The Harvest Kids Team is available to talk with you should you have any questions about the ministry, ways to become involved or have a prayer request to share regarding your child.
